Hey Portlanders!
Please come to In Other Words Tuesday, May 8th, at 6:30 pm for my first reading of Rules in Portland!
Please also bring a dollar. Not for me, for the bookstore. It is the very last surviving nonprofit women’s bookstore in the country, and as they say on their site, “In an effort to become more sustainable we have decided to charge a minimal fee for events held at the store. Event attendees will be asked to donate $1 admission to store events, unless otherwise noted.”
There will be snacks.
And yes, it’s a women’s bookstore, but I assure you that people of all genders will be absolutely welcome.
Hey. I was offline for a day and a half and it feels like forever. This probably means I should stay offline longer, but here I am, slave to the keyboard and the coffeehouse wifi.
Huge thanks to everyone who came to see Lauren Myracle and me at the Not Your Mother’s Bookclub event! (Click that link for photos and more…)
It was super fun, it is a lovely store, and I highly encourage anyone who lives within traveling distance to come to future events. Even huger thanks to Jennifer and the rest of the fabulous Books Inc. staff for making it all happen. And yes, although it starts in the middle of a sentence and cuts off before the end of the Q and A, the podcast worked.
